Advice for Pregnant Moms

Melissa, my assistant / co-teacher, is pregnant. She told the kids yesterday. They were excited, curious, and full of questions.

Today, Theo was telling her what to do left and right.

"You can't drink coffee, Ms. Melissa. It's not good for the baby."

"I know, Theo, thanks for reminding me."

"Why do you keep rubbing your belly?"

"I told you already, because it feels different and funny."

"Ms. Melissa, why are you drinking iced tea? You can't have iced tea when you're having a baby."

"I can have a little, Theo. I just can't have a lot. But a little isn't bad for the baby."

I never anticipated such fascination and concern from a 7-year-old boy!
